IBPC Overview

The Instituto Brasileiro de Pesquisa em Câncer (IBPC) is a non-profit entity comprised of highly-experienced oncology clinical researchers at eighteen of the largest public hospitals in Brazil. With a mission to foster oncology drug development and access to new therapies in Brazil, IBPC has developed a unique contractual structure which offers to its member public hospitals direct staff, infrastructure, and oversight support for international clinical research.
  • IBPC provides centralized research support and oversight through our Central Office in São Paulo, Brazil
  • IBPC offers unique public hospital access, performance and responsiveness with dedicated space, research infrastructure and staff (4) at each member hospital site
  • IBPC oncologists are leaders in Brazil’s private and public oncology institutions

IBPC has entered into an exclusive, worldwide partnership with Oncopartners to build and manage its research infrastructure and teams, and to develop and manage all business and contractual relationships with international pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and co-operative groups and governmental sponsors. Oncopartners has made substantial investments in the operational infrastructure and teams supporting IBPC in Brazil and in North America.  An English version of IBPC’s website (www.ibpcancer.org.br) is under preparation. 

IBPC sites serve over 30,000 new cancer patients annually.
