The Partnership: Oncopartners and IBPC

The rapid expansion of international oncology clinical trials has far exceeded the capacity of leading research centers in Europe and North America resulting in slower patient accrual, longer study timelines and escalating study costs per patient. Latin America and Brazil in particular provide experienced oncology researchers and a robust oncology patient population. Oncopartners, in partnership with IBPC (Instituto Brasileiro de Pesquisa em Câncer) has established a new strategy for enhancing global clinical oncology research by providing sponsors with well-managed access to Brazil's extensive patient population. With a mission to foster oncology drug development and expanded access to new therapies in Brazil, IBPC works in concert with Oncopartners and has developed a unique contractual and operational structure which offers to its member public hospitals direct staff, infrastructure and QA oversight and support for international clinical research.
